The seasons have changed and now summer is in full swing! The village has fully changed and it is now a playground for bikers, tourists and people who just want to chillout by the lakes.
However I want to recap the last few months...
The last few months of the season unfortunately only saw limited snowfall, which meant a lot of the ski runs were patchy and had rocks showing. Despite this, rad shredding sessions were still to be had! I was lucky enough to be up the mountain on a few of the powder days (soft powder didn't last long as it rained a lot!). Shoutout to a few of my riding buddies (you know who you are!) who made these days totally awesome! By the end of the season, I had ridden a good portion of Blackcomb and Whistler, but there are still many runs I would like to try next season (in particular up the nasty hike up Flute bowl!).
My favourite places to ride were:
- 7th Heaven - looking over to Whistler mountain, it houses spectacular views, sick tree runs and good times (having a few bevvys and sun banking in the mountains)
- Symphony and Harmony - On a pow day possibly one of the best spots to ride! Heaps of terrain, trees or groomers, whatever you fancy.
- TG - Good old Terrain Garden. Beginners terrain park without everyone watching from the chairlift. A few good nice tabletops to try out those new tricks before hitting the dance floor and straight boxes! Also a Whistler Australia Day tradition to come here and chill out on Aussie day!
Here is an edit of one of the best days I had with my super awesome riding buddy, Fallon!
